BiographyProfessor Stephen Clarke is a medical oncologist with more than 25 years of experience in the field of oncology. He is also a pharmacologist and translational researcher with major clinical and research interests in gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers and pharmacology. He is Director of Cancer Services at Northern Sydney Local Health District, Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney and practices at the Northern Cancer Institute and Royal North Shore Hospital.
Professor Clarke was awarded an OAM in the Australia Day Honours in 2011 for services to medicine in the disciplines of oncology and pharmacology. Stephen is Head of the NSW committee of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and is Oncology Advisor to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

BiographyAssociate Professor Nick Pavlakis is medical oncologist with 20 years of experience in the field of oncology, clinical and translational research, with a special interest in the development of new cancer drugs. Within the specialty of oncology Dr Pavlakis subspecialises & undertakes extensive research mainly in gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers, of which pancreatic cancer is one. He is co-director of the Bill Walsh Cancer Research Lab, Head of the Clinical Trials Network at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), Chair of the RNSH neuroendocrine tumour multidisciplinary team, member of the Upper GI Working Group of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG) and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Australasian Lung cancer trials Group. BiographyDr Connie Diakos is a medical oncologist treating hepatobiliary-pancreatic and gastrointestinal cancers at the Northern Sydney Cancer Centre of Royal North Shore Hospital. She is also a conjoint senior lecturer with the University of Sydney and a member of the Bill Walsh Translational Cancer Research Laboratory with a research interest in determining prognostic and predictive biomarkers of inflammation in patients with hepatobiliary-pancreatic and other malignancies. These markers may be of use in decision-making around the treatment of these patients and help achieve improved patient outcomes.

BiographyDr Matthew Wong is a medical oncologist on the Central Coast and a translational researcher at the Kolling Institute, Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. His clinical interests are in gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancer and brain cancer with particular focus and passion in the treatment of patients with pancreatic and biliary tumours. His PhD was on the use of targeted therapies in pancreatic cancer. He remains active in scientific and clinical research and is currently bringing his PhD research in pancreatic cancer into early clinical phase trial, to improve the outcome of this deadly disease.
He is a staff specialist at Gosford and Wyong District Hospitals and also holds admission and consulting rights at North Gosford Private Hospital. He has a strong affiliation with the Royal North Shore Hospital & the Sydney Pancreatic Unit, providing local oncology services for patients from the Central Coast.

A/Professor Guminski works at North Shore Private Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and is affiliated with the Sydney melanoma Unit. He is active in clinical trials at these sites.
